The business is brutal. Especially for newbies who have no experience running their own operations. Face the facts that are going to kick your butt. Your marketing campaigns will be ruined. Money will be lost (learning experiences). Customers will abandon ship. Some products will not be sold. Oh, and at the beginning of learning a new skill set, it will suck.

Thats the reality. You’re going to get beat up by someone or something. It could be multiple times. Habitual blows! How would you like that? Knowing this early on will give you your fighting instincts. Also, you should have no illusions that it will be a walk in the park. You will come across obstacles, barricades, and considerations.

Kobe Bryant gets his butt kicked

It is very valuable to learn from a good kick in the butt. Do you remember in 1997, in the semifinals of the Western Conference against the Utah Jazz, an 18-year-old rookie, Kobe Bryant, fired 4 aerial balls in the final minutes of game 5. One of the best decisive players in NBA history threw 4 aerial balls, on TV, in front of millions of viewers and on the road where they laughed at him. Google it.

What did Kobe Bryant do after that great embarrassment? After the trip home, he went to Palisades High School and found someone to open the gym and fired jump shots all night. Six months later, the first game of the season, Kobe came off the bench to score 23 points against Jazz. What else has Kobe done since the infamous 4 air balls?

* 5 NBA championships

* Most valuable player in the NBA

* 2x Most Valuable Player of the NBA Finals

* 18 appearances in the All-Star Game.

* Value of around $ 200 million

Did you get your butt kicked for shooting 4 air balls? Hell yes. He had to listen to him until he won a championship. The ironic part is that Kobe Bryant scored 60 points in his last game. Guess which team he scored the 60 points against?

Losing leads to winning

Game Daily Fantasy Sports. It’s fun and I make money. Excellent income stream. I only cash in about 17% of my tickets (Breakeven) from what’s called the Guaranteed Prize Pool. Those are the big tournaments that pay a lot of money. I only rank in the Top 10 about 3% of the time. I can have losing streaks of 5 days or more. My longest losing streak was about two weeks. How many people would keep going if they were losing money for 14 days?

These percentages can seem horrible. But my reward is a hug. When I win the prize it is much more than I have lost. It is the nature of the game. I learn from each loss and improve my investigation of the game. I have the tools to test my strategies and I can see where I can improve my profitability. Most of the time they kill me in these big tournaments. It doesn’t bother me because if I get in the game I will eventually win a lot.

What are you willing to suffer?

When it comes to my marketing business, I have to invest in data to see what sells. You will have to invest in marketing. Be it time or money. You have to put most of your energy into generating leads and conversions. This is where you can kick your butt. Too many people focus too much on the product and the company and then they are slaughtered and their businesses die.

You have to make sales. That’s the bottom line. I’m amazed at how many people want to start a business but don’t want to sell. It starts with marketing. I encourage everyone to learn a marketing skill or higher from someone who is an expert. Sales must be made. Products must be sold, it’s that simple. Lack of sales kicks butt for most entrepreneurs.

How about asking people to buy? Are you willing to suffer rejection? Are you willing to find out who has your money? Because it is the money from the things you sell that will determine whether or not you are successful.

What are you going to sacrifice?

To get to the next level, what are you willing to sacrifice? Is it time, money or relationships? You will have to sacrifice to build a booming business. You cannot do what you have done if you want to go to the next level.

You are competing against people who have more money, experience, clients, and skills. There are children in the rooms who make money. Teens are killing it online. Those in their 20s and 30s are building million-dollar companies. People over 40 are discovering new ways to generate income with the Internet.

Are you willing to spend your savings to learn a new skill? Will you invest in a coaching program? Will you work overtime at your day job to finance your business (you did this often)? What was your life cut off? Who catches your attention? How many times will you get back up after your competitors maneuver you? I will tell you now without sacrifice that you will get your butt kicked.

The impressive news

Today, anyone can excel in the business of their choice. Oh, it’s difficult, it’s almost impossible without the tenacity to keep going. But I just told you it’s brutal, so be prepared. I want you to go out and see the prosperity around you. Look at the planted trees, the laid cement, the street lights, and the businesses around you. Someone is making money and it had to be tough.

People quit smoking every day because they can’t take the kicking in the butt the real world gives them. The great news is that the more people drop out, the better it will be for you. For the victor goes the spoils. You will be hit. Rarely does a fighter emerge unscathed from a match. Strengthen your tenacity muscles and do it. Take the blows and keep winning.
