In this article I am going to talk about the big problem that is coming up with the Xbox 360. You may have heard about the 3 red lights, the crashes and a series of “E” errors that can appear on the screen telling you that You need to fix your Xbox 360.
Well, a fairly new problem is when you put a disc in the drive and the Xbox refuses to play it.
It just doesn’t realize or be able to tell it’s an Xbox 360 disc!
Here are five tips you can follow if you are suffering from this problem:
1. The first thing you can do is make sure your Xbox 360 is free of dust! Sometimes dust can get trapped in the drive and this can coat the lens and prevent it from working properly.
2. If that doesn’t work then what you will need to do is try to give your console better ventilation, it may be the general heat the console is taking in that is preventing the unit from working.
3. If the above two solutions don’t work for you, try opening the tray and check that it is not missing and that it is aligned with the laser. This too can be a cause of problems and one that is commonly overlooked too!
4. If the above three solutions don’t work for you, you’ll need to find a way to fix it.
5. The only other way I can see if you don’t want to do any of the above is to buy a new console! Well, it’s always an option!
You can do this one of two ways, either return it and they will fix it for you, this can be around $140 in charge and you may have to wait about four weeks to get your console back.
The other way to fix it is to fix it yourself and although it is more risky because you will need a good guide to show you how to do it, it can be faster. Of course, if you’re worried about losing your warranty, you should send it in.
