Whether you’re a teenager or an adult, the best job has to be testing video games and getting paid a lot of money. A lot of people look the other way and say it’s a bunch of scams and you never get the money, but let me assure you first hand that they are not scams and you can get paid. Now for sure 80% of them are scams but the other 20% aren’t and that’s where the big shot is hiding. It can be a game tester for almost any console and yes, even PC games, which are the most tested.
Who pays me to test video games?
Companies that need your opinion on their new or still beta video games. A great example is Halo 3 which is on Xbox 360 and Haze which is on PS3. Before releasing Halo 3 to the public, Microsoft had thousands of game testers test it and comment on what should be changed etc. While Sony didn’t ask gamers to try their game and what ended up happening is that Haze was a flop (no one bought it because it wasn’t a very good game and the ratings went from 4 to 6), but a Halo 3 was! a huge success and was purchased over a billion times! That is 1/6 of the world.
How can I find real game testing opportunities?
Well the best way to do it is like me, ask and eventually you’ll be pointed in the right direction and you’ll land on 20% of the sites I talked about above.
