On Saturday night of January 9, 2010, Cowboy Football took a big step forward. The Dallas Cowboys’ first playoff win since 1996. 12-year wait. The Philadelphia Eagles suffered their second straight loss at the hands of their NFC East rivals. Much has been made of Tony Romo and his inability to win a playoff game, but those comments have disappeared in the warm weather that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has provided with his $1.5 billion stadium for the United States team. Joined.

Much has been made of comments the Philadelphia Eagles made publicly trying to downplay their shutout loss six days ago. The importance of last week’s game was also downplayed, to Andy Reid’s credit, not his. Many will speculate that Donovan McNabb shouldn’t get a chance to be this club’s quarterback next year, with his contract guaranteed until 2010, I don’t see many other options. Wide receiver Deshawn Jackson was going over his mouth through his writing on Twitter, yet another avenue for players to reach out to fans and, in the process, put their (both) feet in their mouths. Jackson did exactly that. Jackson said Cowboys football, including cornerbacks, couldn’t cover him. I guess it’s not a good idea to pick on players, when you haven’t had much success against them to begin with.

Jackson did exactly that. The Philadelphia Eagles got out of hand on the field, and when DeMarcus Ware snatched the ball out of McNabb’s hand last night, the ball and the Eagles’ season went to the ground and went out the window. The Dallas Cowboys head to Minnesota for next week’s Sunday game. I can’t sit here and write like Jackson did, I honestly don’t know enough about Vikings to do that. What I do know is that Cowboy Football is peaking, regardless of the opponent. Blunt keep your magic working, Defense keep your philosophy – “Look at someone, hit someone.” The game will take care of itself. For Deshawn Jackson, tweet this!
