The 2008-2009 season has barely finished, but Barça is already on the move for some new signings. The Calalan Giants are looking to add 3-5 new names to their roster.

left back position

The first name on the list is Bruno Saltor from Almería. Saltor is a Spanish player and knows the league and those are the 2 best reasons that work in his favor. Second in line is Inter Milan fullback Maxwell. The Brazilian is highly valued by the FC Barcelona coach, Pep Guardiola. He is also an attacking winger, exactly what Barca need to cover for Sylvinho’s absence.

left endpoint

With Henry turning 32 next season, Barca have set their sights on a new left winger. Illustrious names such as: Frank Ribery, David Silva, Robin Van Persie and Mauro Zarate are mentioned as main candidates for the vacant position. The first choice for Pep Guardiola is Frank Ribery, who currently plays for Bayern Munich and is reportedly not happy with conditions in the Bavarian capital. The Frenchman has already expressed his desire to wear the Barcelona jersey, but Barca now faces another problem in Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, who is also looking to sign Ribéry after finalizing the transfer of Kaká.

new striker

Samuel Eto’s future seems uncertain. The latest reports suggest he is likely to leave the club despite ending an outstanding season with 30 Spanish league goals and the winning goal in the Champions League final. The most probable successors of him are Zlatan Ibrahimovic, David Villa or Karim Benzema. All the strikers have already expressed their desire to join Barcelona.
