Cooking in World of Warcraft is a secondary profession, which means that you can do it without sacrificing one of your main professions. In this amazing cooking guide, I will tell you a little about the wonderful world of cooking in the game and give you some tips to level up and take advantage of this unique profession.

To do anything as a cook in wow, you will need a few things: something to cook, something to cook, and something to cook, simple. For starters, you will gain the ability to make fire, so as long as you have some firewood you will have something to cook. Some recipes will not require anything extra to cook once you have the ingredients, but if they do, you will only need one of them as they are not out of stock. However, the ingredients are and can be the most expensive part of leveling the profession. Fortunately, cooking is not a particularly sought-after profession at Wow, so the ingredients (or reagents) are typically not very expensive.

You might be wondering why you should cook, well there are a couple of reasons. Mainly, it is a good source of profit, since when you do it better, you will be able to cook food that is better than what you can buy or pick up. Additionally, food reduces leveling time as you don’t need to wait for your health to regenerate for that long.

It can be quite difficult to profit from cooking as a profession, as most foods are fairly low in value, but in the new expansion packs there are many more novelty items that tend to go for higher values. One such recipe is Savory Deviate Delight. The recipe itself can be quite expensive to collect (over 20g), but if you’re on the side of the horde, you can farm it in The Barrens quite simply. Next, you need to combine your cooking with fishing and head to the Wailing Caverns instance, where you can fish for Deviate Fish, which you can then cook in Savory Deviate Delight, which sells for up to 10 gold a stack. All of that process can be done by a level 15-20 character quite easily, so if you’re short on cash, we recommend that you give it a try.

Hopefully, you’ve learned a thing or two from this amazing cooking guide, but more importantly, you just need to go out and cook things; that’s the only way you’ll get better at it after all.
