So, you want a Delta Eight. I understand, as a long time motorcycling fan, you’ve been disappointed with Delta’s past efforts at getting into the sport. After all, they were meant to be a big hit, not just another mainstream brand. And yet, there they are, sitting in the corner of your favorite bike store, and not getting any of the buzz they deserve. Why is this? Because despite being a well respected brand, Delta still doesn’t have any level of self-marketing success that they should be able to boast.

You’ve probably heard of the new Evolis and Schwinn bikes from the ’90s. Delta still has a couple of those around, but the rest of their lineup is stuck in the same place they’ve been for decades. Well, they’re certainly old by today’s standards, but what’s the harm in sticking with a tried and true product? Especially when a new product that could bring them in a lot more money gets introduced to the market. After all, it’s better to have a successful brand name than a brand that doesn’t market itself.

The brand is coming out with a new bike this year, the Delta Eight. It’s supposed to be a dirt bike, but instead it’s been marketed as a cross-country mountain bike. What separates the eight from other offerings is its geometry, which allows it to be ridden on most surfaces. In addition, it also sports a custom frame, and it’s claimed that this creates a more responsive riding experience. It will be interesting to see if these claims hold up, or whether the product simply doesn’t measure up to the other competing brands.

With that said, one thing that does seem to be a common theme with Delta’s new products is that they have been trying to distance themselves from their older designs. Earlier offerings have been criticized for looking cheap and underdeveloped, but that is not the case with the Eight. In fact, the bike looks and feels like a full-featured bike, and those that have tried it have claimed that it rides like a full suspension system. For someone who might be intimidated by the idea of a full suspension system, there is no doubt that this is the best way to get up and going with a mountain bike. And if you’re used to lighter bikes with weaker suspension, you’ll be impressed by how good this looks and rides. Whether or not this actually ends up being the case is a different story, though.

Another new feature is the adjustable clip-on handlebar. This is something that many new products have started introducing to try to separate themselves from the pack, and it does make a difference when you are riding on rough terrain. It’s easy to change between the different settings, and it’s clear that Delta wanted to take advantage of this feature to appeal to a younger consumer (though it may not appeal to everyone).

Delta’s new bike has other great features as well, though. For example, the front wheel drivetrain has been improved. It’s simpler than before, which means that users don’t need to spend hours trying to figure out how to change gears on the bike. The throttle response is also more refined, meaning that it’s easier to keep in control of the bike without having to mess around with the on-off switch on the throttle. If you are looking for a new bike, then the Delta Eight Near Mexico is definitely a step in the right direction.
